I give my trainer huge credit in telling me to stay away from terminals and only going when absolutely necessary. Friday if I would have went to Trenton would have been 11th or 12 th in line for a load. Sat where I was at 20 miles away and got a load in no time. Yeah and other than Albany there always seems to be a parking issue at terminals.

 

They just need to take I 68 completely off the map, put up barricades and allow nature to take its course.

 

Looks like an interesting road.

Other than that, I’ve had a really nice couple of days off. BS’s with @Steelersjunkie for an hour last night, cooked a ribeye and watched Apocolypse Now. Now I’m up at 0200 raring to go. Maybe I’ll clean the inside of my truck again.

 

Apocalypse Now one of my all time favorites. I put it a head of Shawshank Redemption. As to I68 it’s like they had the roller coaster designer from 6 flags on the payroll for a day or 2.

Showing my age here but be thankful they built 68. The old road US 48 stop lights at the bottom of those mountains and drive right thru downtown Cumberland.

 

DC traffic horrible, took wrong turn but a friendly cloverleaf got me pointed in right direction. The place itself, the guy was pretty cool. He said pick a door. Unloaded in less than an hour. Picked up miller load in Elkton to minomonee Falls. Which brings up Miller math. My load there was supposedly 43k total, gross vehicle weight was 78k with almost full 3/4 tank of fuel. Today’s load 44k and I’m at 76k.

 

So 68 yesterday today it’s 64. I’m starting to feel like @Steelersjunkie

 

Stop for fuel at Nitro and you can call it a Trifecta...
