What pay increases ? All I've heard about is cuts -$.26 a mile ? Every union contract ended up in losses , not gains .

I'm talking about future pay raises, caused by EOBR usage. And the lack of drivers/trucks to cover loads.

Yeh, everyone is taking a hit right now. In some fashion or another.

Please go on. They all seem like the companies that should be avioded. Sorry to say that it will never happen. Too many drivers willing to work for pennies.

That is not true. I posted in another forum if anyone is getting a raise. You would be suprised.

Dance the last six years have been a blast, compared to being stuck in a cubicle with office politics all around me, and all that goes with the office environment! I have also heard many, many stories from drivers over the last nine years I have been around the trucking business to know the fun that used to be there, as you say. "Freedom of the open road", alas, is a thing of the past... as is so much of the freedom we used to enjoy as Americans that has been eroded by... well, that's another forum.

Yes , it is true that that is all I've heard . I acknowledge there must be a few getting raises but it is very few . I read your thread . A 2 or 3 cent per mile increase doesn't keep up with cost of living increases . Five year contracts don't impress me . DHL workers ratified a five year contract and a few months later they were all out of work .

I got ya now. How big a stick do you have?

Is it big enough to stir the entire pot ???

As for my utility bills. They average about $200 a month. :yes2557: I have no other bills, my peanut paying job, paid them off.

Nobody works for peanuts out here, unless your a CRST driver LMAO

Believe it or not. I do agree with you. These companies could pay us much more, and should.

But you go on brother. I need a good laugh from time to time. :biggrin_25525:

There's still a lot of fun to be had out here. And I'm glad to see you're finding the ride enjoyable.

I think the biggest joy killer out here now. These ##### companies that park you in the middle of no where. But then again, truckstop services are not what they used to be, no matter where you are.

We used to get out of our trucks between loads, and enjoy a day or so. Now days, they have us on a short leash. QC and cell phones.

I don't mind my leash so much now, as it protects my weekends off :biggrin_25525:

I would try to take everything on the net with a grain of salt. I have many friends that drive but the happiest ones don't have time to post stuff on the web. They are busy driving. The grumpy ones that do complain all the time are the ones with time to do so.
