trucking companies that do not govern trucks or can at least do 70 mph

UPS is like 68. Close to 70, but not quite.

 

On the east coast they run 72mph but only do 68 out west. Makes no sense but they seem to be mostly cng powered out here too.

Their team trucks are all pretty fast though 72-75mph.( on the freight side)

Also seems like xpo/conway freight got turned up . They're running 72-73 mph in Arizona pulling doubles

 

My company Cloverland Dairy our freight shakers go 72. Speaking of UPS, idk what their trucks are at speed wise but they are slow as molasses when I see them out on the road. Fed ex on the other hand be rolling.

 

There are reasons for that. On hourly runs, guys might feel safer at slower speeds. That sort of thing.

I understand it’s all about safety but I don’t quit get why they want to go slower for hourly runs?
