I'm considering hiring a co-driver.

I have 32 years experience
Must have spotless safety record and be a safe, patient driver.

Equipment is 2016 Pete 579 pulling reefers. Primarily run west coast to southeast and midwest. No northeast ever.

I stay out 3 to 4 weeks at a time, home for about a week.

I may consider someone with little experience, that wants some specialized training or maybe wanting to become a successful owner operator or lease owner.

If you want to drive fast and overcompensate for something, keep looking. If you want to earn more by saving fuel and other expenses, this is your place.

 

Pay would be calculated this way:

Gross revenue
- truck expenses
- 30% for taxes
= net amount split 50/50
$66 per day would be tax free per diem.

Paid weekly as a w2 employee.

Expenses such as fuel cost are variable, but the estimated take-home after taxes on 6000 miles would be $1500 each, $462 of that tax-free per diem.

Fuel mpg is averaging about 8.0 in this truck. If you drive hard and fast, it will go down and so will our shared revenue. You have a direct impact on how much you can make by being efficient and steady.
