    I need to start lying.

    I’m not a truck driver.

I’m an aeronautical relocation specialist. Yeah.

He was right about that Y2K thing. You shouldn't laugh at him. We're all dead now because the computers all stopped. Cars quit running. Planes fell out of the sky.
You're too young to remember it but it was horrible watching the End of the World.

Hey! He told me to go back to school and go into accounting!...

You know... that super automation-proof career path involving you balancing the books using basic arithmetic and a computer.......

He wasted my beer! I just wanted to talk to the cute bartender :(

He’s definitely “special” that’s his drives even with my passenger door. This is the back row at the okc Petro with the trucks parked along the fence and his trailer stuck out that far two trucks can’t pass thru at the same time.

...and as we see all over this very website and out in the wild, that's what a lot of drivers want. Easy. Just drive and don't think or break a sweat.

That was the issue with the doofus who quit here the other week. He had a lot of driving experience. His ability to operate the truck was never in question. It was his ability to adapt and keep up with a job where we're in direct support of the excavation/pipelaying industry. All he knew in his almost 20 years of being a CDL holder was bumping docks, and having a schedule that wasn't super strict.

He just couldn't adapt to being required to show up at a job site when the contractor wanted him to be there. Those guys have schedules, deadlines, and can't start without their product. Wanting it at 0900 and it showing up at 11:30 doesn't keep them as customers.
