I hear ya, funny you passed me one of the few days I was pulling the tandem.

We call that a Pan / Shovel. Panhead style bottom and Shovel topend. Before Shovelhead went to alternator.

 

Mine is a later Shovelhead when the generator was dropped and alternator mounted inside the inner primary.

If that engine is all original, it should be around a late 65 or 66 model.

Hey I didnt say that. I was making it a good story. You seen me on a big road. That dont happen much. But not a great way to avoid it last few weeks. I was trying to make us look tougher, now lets hope they dont read this!

 

I got a set of mufflered fish tips for mine, but always run 40” slash cut drags.
