I sure wish I had pics of all Pops old trucks. This is the only pic I have of his trucks. He owned all except the blue Autocar. I have reached out to some of his family in hopes that some of the pictures from his office wall was saved. The old 76 352 “Patriot”, couple K models including my 73 model, the black A model with a Cat under the hood and aerodyne sleeper, the old 69 or 70 model Cabover shaker, are etched in my memory. Glad I had the opportunity to experience what I did at a younger age. In 1989 he bought a used Freightliner hood “big flat top” with a 444 / 15spd.... it was a large car at that time lol.

The set in was basically the big opening, it was new innovation after being use to the crawl through, which I spent a number of nights in. Back when I wore 32 & 33 around the waist I could slither right in there even being over 6’. I’d have trouble with that now....

Having had a service truck now for all of 6 months, I don't know how we got by without one before. And I can see that you never have to much reach.

Our little truck has a Stellar 3200 lbs. crane. It works really well, but a heavier crane would be good.

Buddy of mine has a smaller service truck with a 5000 lbs boom, it came in handy setting the flatbed off.

Sons old rig,6006H. Was a good crane,no issues, has a newer one now. Once you have a truck crane, you wonder how you got along without one.
