Reasonable Wage

I haul ethanol. Get 40 cents per mile and drive about 2800-3000 per week

 

Wages are going to vary wildly between geographic locations. Between union and non union. And between companies.

 

I am starting a new job in 8 days for a small-ish company. Although not a rookie driver in general, am new to fuel hauling. Starting pay is $20/hr then bump to 23 after training/probation. To be home every day 90% of the time, in a town where local jobs are much more limited than metro areas makes it "fair". Fair wage can be highly subjective for different people in different places. Coming from alternating between road construction and hauling hay for the last 3 years, steadiness and a more predictable schedule was what mattered most. The vastly superior benefits package is just icing on the cake.

 

I haul milk as a 1st year rookie and make 45 a mile. I can get as much or as little miles as I want a week.

Usually right around 2200 miles and I collect another couple hundred a week in accessory pay.

I work for a major refiner and deliver gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and ethanol to terminals and stations. I’m paid hourly at $27.47/hour and with bonuses make around $90k/yr. Home every night.

 

I haul cryogenics co2 to be exact and make 56 cpm plus different trip pay it roughly come up to 1400 average a week with health benefits and 401 k home every night

 

Over here in VA/TN/NC/KY region most are paid by the hour and they usually start around $21-$24 an hr for an experienced fuel hauler... Some companies I have seen start out by the mile around .45cpm...

There is a company down the road from me that pays .22 cpm during training and .45 cpm when you are on your own. Last fuel place I worked at he paid .41 cpm..
