Invasive species can be a #####. I spent a few years in my younger days as an arborist. I can't count the number of days I spent sweating and cursing as I cut down trees and dug for roots of trees that a dumb home owner thought would look pretty, only to find it started destroying the rest of the landscape and getting into properties they didn't own.

Hence the interest in Casper. The last time I was driving? In pretrips alone I lost 50 pounds.

Several years ago, someone had this wonderful idea.
A specific species of tree would be a good idea to plant. Grows fast, has moderate size, could adapt to locations fairly well. Across the western states, the variable growing zones, this tree did quite well. Just like any weed would.
Now the Siberian Elm classifies as an invasive species.
It really is a weed, takes over land and just is nasty. Very hard to get rid of.

Tornado warnings have gone up tonight west of I-30 Hot Springs area.

It was supposed to be just a garden variety noisy event with lots of rain and so on but not really into tornados. But anyway they are coming on and I guess with the way the frontal passage is setting up we can expect a few more next couple of hours tonight.

That is what the former owner of my house did with BlackBerry bushes. The ####### planted them in 3 locations took 5 yrs to kill them. But wait they ain't gone yet the still pop up all the time. Kill them as soon as I see them break ground
