Williamsport- Is the same as Watsontown Brick? I believe it is. Those brick were hard to hold on the trailer. We used to call them jumpers- the ones that jumped off that is.

in the second picture, in the black label area, i see a number....25.....can you get better pics of this metal object?

and just above that black label i see "flat spots" like for where a wrench might be used for tightening it...

I worked around aircraft for about 25 years. It isn't part of one. It's just something that fell off a truck that got kicked up by the vehicle in front of you.

When stuff falls off airplanes the rest of the plane comes with it pretty quickly and it makes the news. Everything on them is shored up, wired up, checked, rechecked and rechecked.

Im not sure. Williamsport in Maryland by the river that made brick from the civil war days if not prior to that. The particular names of whatever companies are pretty much forgotten over the years. I spent some time thinking about brick in general and its good we have it in that quality. But the bales they come in only get maybe two banded strips of steel with crimps on the ends. You will always had a brick or two get loose in the spring suspension trailers back then. Airride would have made a great difference. However for what the millions of revenue DM Bowman burned through, they were generally tightfisted on the basic trailer equiptment, half of which was rusted through anyway back then.

Its called a road hazard, be thankful no one was injured.I bet when you saw it hit the windshield the glass moved in slow motion, right? I've had a couple things come through my windshield and it always goes in slow motion. I hope you have collision, because insurance companies won't pay for road hazards.

Usually State Police sitting under the overpass and in the middle just past it and the Philly PD sweeps the ramp of cars. Doubtful it was vandals. I once had an orange construction barrel smash through my windshield on a 2 lane in OH. Was kicked up by a truck passing the opoosite direction.
