DG is pretty tough. 4 trailers a week is an average, you can pull off 5 if you really work your butt off. I actually did 6 one week because the stores were so close to the distribution center and my dispatcher tried to give me a 7th! I was averaging $1000-1200 a week on this account, but it is an absolute whip and only for the super motivated. The backs are tough on this account, quite a bit of blindsides. The best money is to train, if you can put up with the new guys. It's basically teaming, so you will always get 5-6 trailers and your unload times are much faster.

Why did you need to get towed after you had successfully backed in? Were you stuck in the mud or something? If that's the case I've heard that those big companies will charge you with a preventable accident anytime a tow is needed.
buddyd157 Thanks this. -
1) you went onto that account, instead of staying OTR.
there are many threads here (and other trucking websites)that specifically tell us how a raw deal the general account is, and many have posted pics of trucks damaging the building, parking lot, etc.
you really should have done your due diligence regarding this. the reasons vary as to why you decided to do it, be it hometime, or they sang you a lullaby....whatever, so basically you cut your own pubic hairs.
2) as far back as i can remember, when a tow truck is called out, a driver gets charged with a preventable.
3) in a way, Werner did not lie about you being a safety concern......tell us what really happened, why a tow truck was called....like maybe you got stuck in the mud, cuz you did not GOAL at the area and call it in to the company for further instructions..???Last edited: Jun 18, 2019

When the tow truck come I was in the phone with my dispatch tow man telling him next time send a smaller truck to this dollar general store like I said I did not damage anything the tow man assist me those incidents on my report stated no damage no DOT the only way to prevent those incidents is leave the store not do that delivery or have a team partner with me. I know a lot of driver on Dollar general account that just leave truck and quit cause it too much for them also you’re right I was training OTR I should of pick an OTR account.
