In that case I would be shopping for 2 step boxes like Big Rig Chrome Shop - Semi Truck Chrome Shop, Truck Lighting and Chrome Accessories
in a 30 or 36 inch long size. if you store your chains in individual cut off oil or def jugs with one hook hanging on the side of the jug and split them up so that you have
2 1/2"
4 3/8"x10'
1 3/8"X20'
2 1/2 binders
5 3/8 binders
in each box you should find that you have a clean setup.
also you could mount a tool box such as
https://www.4statetrucks.com/toolbo...ss-steel-toolbox-48in-x-18in-x-18in_17869.asp
across the frame rails behind the exhaust system for added storage. you can look at this video https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=vwpMyAMQFW4 and look at Lenny's novel solution.snowman_w900, SAR, Bdog and 4 others Thank this. -

Here's how I do chain storage in my side box. I have a 24x24x44 box mounted on either side of the truck. This is the driver's side.
16 x 10ft 3/8" chains with 8 folding ratchet binders and 4 snap binders. Chains hang on a piece of angle aluminum in back and binders in the front.
I could easily fit another 100' of chain in there and another 4 binders if I wanted.
Passenger side is all blankets and straps.

mount that big cabinet headache rack right on the front of your trailer
as for tool boxes, I always liked Merritt's "logger box".
I never put a headache rack on my CH but had toolboxes. I bolted a couple of 2X2 angles welded together like a Z inside the back of my boxes to hang the chains up, worked pretty goodBdog, cke, PoleCrusher and 2 others Thank this. -
If I went with the boxes like beastr123, razororange, or booley mentioned do they need a frame to support the box with all the weight of the chains in there or do you simply drill through the back of the box and bolt it to the frame?
I am looking at ordering either the ones beastr123 linked to or the merit logger box and then adding some dividers/hangers.cke Thanks this.
