Hey Opus, question for you.
Being a rookie driver, are my chances really low of getting one of the newer trucks that have an APU and fridge installed in them?
If it is indeed unlikely, is there any way to request a new truck or ask to get those things installed on the truck they give me?
I figured I would ask you rather than a recruiter who's going to tell me what I want to hear. -
Honestly, its usually about what's in the yard at the time. Generally speaking though, you're gonna get the oldest unit out there. Now whether or not they have that stuff on them, it's the luck of the draw.
@gentleroger might be a better source for this information.
Where are you going to be out of? -
Otherwise its possible, but unlikely. In a year it will start being more likely. -

However, I love the idea of SNi's one week of training on the road, as opposed to Freymiller's typical 6 to 8 weeks. -
How sure are you that SNI will only train for one week? I have no idea, but it might depend on how you do.

New driver orientation is still three weeks, but the schedule is different.
It's now two weeks in the classroom and then up to 7 days on the road. If the road trainer doesn't sign off, you go back for a skills evaluation and potentially another week on the road, or we cut ties.AM14 Thanks this. -
