What dispatch service are you using? I'm dispatching myself under my own authority and it's not working so great. Dispatching needs to be done during the hours I need to be driving/strapping/fueling etc... and vice versa.

I completely agree. I lease to and pay 12% from gross for authority/dispatch/factoring. Don't know if they will dispatch only.

No tricks. Don't forget that's flatbed with conestoga.
So I deleted company info from my previous post...
Posted my rates just the other borrow for the best rates - so we all have profit!

I don’t see anything strange about them? Doing a little better than I am this year but spot on to where I was last? He is going to the NE like a smart man dose.

I don’t venture that way to often so he’s got me beat by just a bit.

Had dinner with another trucker a couple weeks ago while our trucks were in the shop overnight.

He is Ukraine and never eaten Mexican food before....

We were comparing numbers and he was doing better than me too. Not by much but, clearly better.

Funny part was he was going on and on about a shipper that was Russian and what a cheap ####### he was!!!!!

I don’t feel this guy I went to dinner with was part of the problem. He had mostly the same concerns and worries as me. Although he was obviously working MORE than me, we were about the same rates on lanes. 49D2FB2E-2C18-45A6-8138-E05E501B6C76.jpeg

I'm mixed on my feelings towards those who immigrate here to Truck. On one hand they are flooding the market with labor which causes rates to go down and takes jobs away from Americans. They also really interrupt the social cohesion among truckers across the industry as it's no longer just a bunch of good ol boys.

On the other hand when you think about what these people do to make a better life for themselves and their families back home it's really incredible. They leave behind everything they've ever known to go to a strange new country, learn our language (most the time) and culture while traveling working around the clock all over the North American continent separated from their world by an entire ocean.

I've helped a Somalian guy back into a spot, helped a guy from Kazakhstan fix his truck and have given the Eastern European guys directions more than once. It's fascinating how many cultures we get to experience being blue collar truck drivers as a result of this influx of foreign truckers.

I'm planning on taking January and February off every year going forward so I can experience some of these cultures in a more immersive manner.
