I got the injectors, tune and turbo all at the same time when I had that truck inframed 7 years ago- I couldn’t tell you if the injectors alone would do much, though with a stock tune I’d think there would be some, if minimal difference. Without a program increasing injector pulse length and a windmill to push enough air, I think any one change would be an improvement, but not altogether impressive if the unit was lacking all parts to make power.

I've got a tune with the Borg Warner turbo & ceramic manifold, so I'm wondering if I'd get any gain in mpg or additional power.

On another note, anyone else's 12.7 smoke like a mofo when it's under 30°? It clears up after it warms up. My mechanic keeps saying is normal for a 97 motor.

Only white/gray smoke until warm...a bit of blue smoke then until hot.

There is a oxygen sensor that may need replacing.

Should be. Most gauges come as a kit. I would first install the new gauge with the old tube and see how high it goes before going through the headache off swapping tubes.

I'll ask my mechanic when I get back to the yard today. Thanks

I had a mechanical gauge in my kw that went to 35psi. I got a new one straight from kw for an accert equipped model, which goes to 80 psi. Easy swap out.

Lots of fuel smoke on startup is generally because it’s cold n you have excess fuel washing your cylinders when they’re cold in my experience.
