Ya being a Walmart load it can only deliver on that delivery day which I'm guessing is weds. Someine be sitting on it if given it today

 

There had to be 30 BOL’s on the counter in Albany this morning. Got there yesterday was offered a run up to Cartersville but I really needed to do some laundry so I decided to stay get it done and wait for my dispatcher to get in this morning. First load was a load from Albany to Albany. lol.
Glad I was given that one mile load met a Millis driver at the receiver we talked for a couple hours waiting to be unloaded he was definitely a good guy. He has been here for a few years and we had the same trainer. Guy was a wealth of information. Gave me a sheet on the Qualcomm and showed me something’s. Also gave me some extra straps.
Following load was a 900 mile load up to Cleveland so if I drive all day tomorrow might get to have dinner with son and wife.
While doing laundry met a couple of good people. Which made the wait for laundry being done not so painful.

 

I guess I can't complain. First time I've sat in over a month . just the timing with it being the first day Opie is gone.

 

Ya i don't think this 1 is on dispatch. Something's going on in Trenton and idk what. Freight shouldn't be at a stand still there

 

I'm in Trenton now. No loads available. I won't be moving until morning at the earliest.

I guess it's hit or miss. Last week I brought a load down from Milwaukee and got a reload right away. Then I was back a couple of days later and had to wait. But I think that was because I only had an hour of drive time when I put in my empty call plus I was due home and they had to find something to accommodate that. Now I'm here again and I'm sitting although I have no idea how long. Not sure why but Pat doesn't seem to like telling us what # we are on the list.

 

I finally got out of there at around 10:45 am. Load going to Menomonee Falls due THURSDAY at 1 PM. I am in Richfield now 40 some hours early. I guess on the bright side I will get a reset.

 

Holy #### they arent having you drop it? Is it going to xpo? Theyd probably take it

I was given a load going to Edwardsville IL and told me I could drop it anytime after 4 30pm tomorrow. I messaged whoever it is this week, asked if I could drop in East St Louis I could be there by 8am....20mins later got msg saying drop it in East St Louis

 

Yes XPO, no word on dropping it. I have been debating about asking to get rid of it or not. Two reasons. Have a friend in the area that I can hang out with tomorrow night. And I am staying out 3 weeks this time to be home for Easter.

In order to get it to cycle back properly I either need to do 3 weeks straight or 1 week, home for a reset and then 2 weeks.

With Opie being gone I figured I would just bite the bullet instead of trying to work that out with whoever is substituting for him. I also figure when he gets back it will be balls to the wall again so maybe I'll take it easy this week, get full hours back with 2 more weeks in front of me.

 

Xpo is a drop usually just fyi I havent live unloaded from there forever. As long as they have an empty then you can drop They dont want us bobtailing out of there though for some reason

 

I've done both in the past. This one has an appt time which I was surprised to see. Wasn't sure if something changed.
