If you're paying attention, but you would be amazed the number of people who simply ignore it. I've learned over the years to watch for little things, I know they run Explorers, Tauruses and Chargers, unmarked and marked. I've trained myself what the "racetrack" taillights of a Charger look like, if I gain on one quickly, until I know it's good to go, I will slow down. Any time I encounter a blacked out Explorer, I ease off until I know it's not a cop, sometimes, the littlest things are the giveaway.

I don't have to worry about cops anymore. If they start following me, I just pull a handle beside the shifter which releases a bunch of circular chaff behind my truck, confusing their radar.

I like the YouTube video of the guy with the hidden one in his truck and the Virginia troopers can’t find it.

And I know why. When I was regional for a company I never had one and never missed it. Trucks were slow and governed so tickets weren't much of a worry. The reason I turn mine off is because the last thing I want to hear is some yahoo arguing politics, making racist comments or arguing with another driver. If we can all be big boys and use them as a helpful tool then I'm good with that. As soon as I get stopped in traffic all the BS starts up and as soon as I get a traffic report I turn it off.

that guy could've saved himself a lot of trouble if he had a radar detector detector detector

But, if you watch the follow up video, he has removed all of it, as he's now a target to the cops.
