Most all trailer walls are made from aluminium. I don't know what the main wall supports and tops are made of. This crap will bow out when some loads are in it. Most of the time it's not a problem. I have seen some trailer walls bow out a good bit. In fact some trailers are bowed out empty. If DOT wanted to make life tough they could find stuff wrong with new equipment. Run it!!!!

one of our trailers was a beverage companies, purchased with two 1" exterior 'rub rails' down each side and the dot caught that.....we use it every day without issues going on 5 years now

I haul bales often. All the loads do this. Don’t worry about it. Heck some trailers stay bowed even unloaded.

The scale houses in Ontario have measured my bulging trailers with tire loads and given me a ticket twice for this, I won’t haul them anymore.. they take a long pole measuring things and run it down the side of your trailer from top to bottom. If it pushes out the pole at all, you get a ticket.Canadianhauler21, tucker, Lepton1 and 1 other person Thank this.
