Mine is acting up too. It's a '99. I was told if the crank position sensor on the engine is going out then it doesn't know what to tell the transmission. I just didn't get time to swap it out before I left home. It was cheap enough though at $15 it might be worth a try for you.

That's a thought. Mine is a 99 also.Al. Roper, Grubby, peterbilt_2005 and 14 others Thank this.

It's behind the starter. One bolt after you get the starter out of the way. And it will either pop right out or you're going to have to take it out in small pieces.

Good friend of mine dose dirt work around here. He owns a 55 ton and has a guy move his stuff around. I kinda inquired about what it cost him?
$300 a piece ( within 100 miles) usually only 2 pieces on a site that move maybe 6 times a year. So 12 or 14 total moves a year?
Used to have a company haul out product up to Chicago for us. They Supplied the van trailer 4 to 6 trips a week. About 140 miles one way. $360 a load.
I told him he is getting a great deal!!!
You guys can have all you want?Al. Roper, Grubby, peterbilt_2005 and 20 others Thank this. -
I got her a Ford Flex last year bout this time; she loves it. Awd, 7 passenger, gets mid twenties for mpg when I drive it, rides great, lots of positives. Only negative is they aren’t super common, so finding one could be challenging if there’s a certain color you want.
Well if you’re storing them at home in the pantry, you bout got it licked. I can’t think of a good place I could put that on my setup.Al. Roper, Grubby, peterbilt_2005 and 20 others Thank this. -
Yea there is a cheap company that has their lips locked on the brokers butt where I load at, they pay them to drag them loads out, then run over top of themselves trying to find trucks for the loads.... then the rate starts coming up when the delivery date gets closer lol. I get my own loads straight from the udder, but I have loaded a few loads at that companies lot, but it was for full $$$! That’s were I loaded when I was in NJ a while back. Hold strong..., those rate cutters will bleed out eventually!!Al. Roper, Grubby, peterbilt_2005 and 19 others Thank this.
