So what can i do to fix this?
-
Bad Tune i've seen this countless times so far, dont know what the fix is besides trying to find someone to change programing properly dont really know
Newto Trucking Thanks this. -
You have 3 choices.
Bring it back completely to stock.
Get factory tune and put emulator.
Get a good tune with egr system properly working. -
I personally would get a good tune.
-
With everybody that i talked to they say bad injection timing. And i talked to 3 different tuners including the ones who made the tune that's on the ecm now and all of them said they do not modify the injection timing.
-
i can show you three pistons that are cracked the same way and trust you me it has nothing to do with injection timing there is no way to change timing on these engines, but if you put it back to stock and put emulator on that is the only way i have seen people fix this never have done this myself, can you please ask one of those tuners or the guy that did the original tune to fix it and see what he says and if he can fix it or not, cuz i guarantee you he will not be able to.

Its impossible on Volvo engine to disable EGR system without messing up electronic settings in the ECM. I know a lot of guys who learned it the hard way.
-
Ok, i get what u are saying. But if it,s not from the timing then what caused the piston to crack? And u are saying to return the ecm to stock and put an emulator? Return the egr valve also? Where can i find an emulator? Thanks
-
Of course, your main problem that you disabled EGR. Because EGR valve should work for engine to work correct. Bring it to stock and put emulator on or buy a tune with properly working EGR system. No one is going to tell you online where to buy it.
