This makes for a serious conundrum! If the OP can't get company financed (indentured servitude) they have no choice anyway. However the Trade School or outright paying for it yourself is still an option. I advise going to a trade school to get the CDL. Fight these battles one battle at a time. Some trade schools have fantastic job placement people. The bottom line is that 25+ over ticket is like a large hemorrhoid.
Companies likely to hire/train with +25mph ticket

No one has driven as fast as I have, however I am keenly aware of certain People in my life briefly who respected my old 70' ford maxed out all in at 138 or so on a half mile straight stretch of two lane at night just ticking over at torque in third waiting to make the pass at 15o towards 180 Because I am in the way in a crappy slow car.
State trooper was napping beddy bye up top at the far end at the cemetary hill. ZOOOOOOM times two cars. On the other side of that ridge featured a 5 mile downgrade. I had mine up to around 153 all out maxed pegged tach and everything and that Diablo was GONE after checking my top speed for future reference the next time he visited my workplace. IF his speedo was accurate that is pretty much my personal top. Ive been in cars faster than that. And it's REALLY fast. The kind where you have to eyes a mile ahead making decisions where the car will be at that point because it will be there awful fast.
I had about a 22 gallon fuel tank on that run 96 octane in 20% of the 93 octane that day, I went through pretty much 18 of that that night plus a quart of engine oil and one of transmission.
Im glad I never bought a diablo. Or a Viper. I could have... maybe. Hm.... I wonder what Haggerty Insurance would be on those.tucker Thanks this. -
When I was younger and felt the "need for speed" I went and rented a Cessna and bought a $100 Hamburger! Going really fast while driving on the roads never really was my cup of tea.
REO6205 Thanks this. -
me neither. just don't like taking my sweet time passing when the oncoming car is potentially going 25 over as well.

OP, when I went to school I had a ticket on my record for 17 over. Not many companies would look at me either. 15 is the magic number. First things first, go to CDL school. You'll have to fill out a bunch of apps anyway. Maybe you'll get a pre hire, maybe you won't. It took several days to get a pre hire, and the first one was Covenant Transport. The now defunct Star Transport(Morton, IL), Western Express, Willis Shaw also sent pre hires. I ended up going to Western since they were the only ones communicating with me. Now beggars cant be choosers. Many people on here will start cutting that promo of "get paid what you're worth" "don't take the first job offer" "drivers shouldn't work for cheap"......whatever. Right now, you just need to focus on getting your CDL and applying to companies online like the aforementioned posters said. Then all it takes is one yes. Then slow your butt down driving, and get experience, then look for greener pastures. One step at a time

Sounds like a good plan. This is such a nightmare. I had no idea I wanted to be a trucker at that time. I was a rich kid in college with no cares in the world. I'm just so incredibly focused on making this work that I can't leave it alone for even a year. My life and wallet are empty.
Side question, would companies pay back loans+interest for CDL training? Or just the receipt cost of the school? Kind of a dumb question, probably no. -
It feels like I committed a felony. I'm so pissed I didn't challenge it. His radar could not have possibly had a good reading when he was tailgating and I was oncoming 1/3mi down the road. He just guessed and ####ed me as that's the 4th of July way. God Bless America

As was said in that old TV show Kung F u, patience grasshopper! Sometimes the best pass is the one not made! I'm not making light of your issue, just trying to get across to you that this industry don't suffer foolish behavior well. You need to learn patience or trust me you won't last long!

That one I can't answer. You would have to call and ask the someone in human resources. Have you got your permit yet?
-
no, and I think I'm going to have to wait a decent amount of time for school availability. not too worried about it, though. assuming someone does take the plunge on a candidate as awful as I am, the interest should be pretty irrelevant.
