If you were going past the speed limit, you were speeding. Just let that go. Some people get caught, others dont. Just stop driving fast

yeah sorry for complaining. this is so incredibly humbling. i'm trash, I need to accept that and play the game. it's not over yet
-
Not over yet...I'd say start studying and get the permit. At least get it going in the right direction. You can't do too much to get your career started talking to all of us on hereSlim51 Thanks this.
-
yup, I've been studying my ### off to try and get 100%. I'm sure it doesn't matter though. I just know that perfection is the only path I can take at this point or I am FUBAR
-
Perfection is only necessary when you drive hahahahaha. You'll be fine.

Now there is a TA lunch counter story if I’ve ever seen onehomeskillet, Slim51, x1Heavy and 1 other person Thank this.
-
He he.
Yes it was a Lunch Counter story. Mildly creative BS.
Yes it has elements of truth and actual first hand happenstance, but essentially grotesquely twisted beyond credibility. However it did happen. Just not at some of those outrageous values.
A friend of mine in real life altered his car and created a monster. The lope of the huge cams inside that engine was so huge that you had to stand on both feet at the brake pedal to hold her anchored in it's parking spot. So you can double shift that 4000 stall converter 400 flite transmission. The power output of the crate engine built into it was in excess of American permissible street values. To ride in that thing all out is to pretty much watch the fuel gauge go one way and the top end become something at which life is just a dream at about 170 What a car.
Those days are gone. I know of one place where you can engage in that kind of run and that's out on the salt flats on certain days of the year near the west coast.Slim51 and Woodchuck88 Thank this. -
Stop the victim mentality. Own your mistake and make a decision on what your doing from this point forward. The cops radar doesn’t mean a thing at this point. Stop telling yourself your trash and you aren't able to be insured... that attitude is like bad b.o. everyone can smell it, especially potential employers.
I went to a private cdl course, I was totally broke trying to support my family (wife and two kids) so I borrowed money from my father for school and living expenses. That was 10k before I got on the road. I put my head down, did my research while in school, and had a job with a respectable tanker company once I got my license. I also had a speeding ticket of 15+ over and another minor ticket. I walked into the interview with clean boots, and nice button down dress shirt and pants. I was 22 years old, they required 23. Still got the job since I was turning 23
Before training period would be over. My income went from 21k in 2017 to 60k in 2018. None of that would’ve happened if I half assed the process because I was ruminating and fretting over a ticket, or my age, or whatever.
You’ve gotten good advice in this thread (except x1, he’s just preparing you for why you should avoid eye contact at truck stops. Bs artists just need a flash of eye contact and that’s their cue ).bryan21384 Thanks this. -
The advice is to go balls deep when everywhere I called turned me down. Great ####ing idea. No wonder you guys are ####ing stuck in a spiral of mediocrity. Clearly trucking is not for me. Might just finish up school. Everyone is elitist and oh so perfect even in the blue-collar industries.
