Black ice, no ABS on truck or trailer, storm is raging but I still can't help but really appreciate my dispatcher and feel like I've been winning the dispatch lottery for over a year now.

I tell him about the situation, can't even get to the water treatment plant to unload, all he says to me is: "Just be safe."

This is the first time this winter I've been genuinely afraid to be on the road. I was getting pushed off the interstate by the wind at 76,000 lbs gross.

And it's only getting worse...

 

Visibility down here was pretty bad. It was so sunny I was squinting in the 81 degree weather. Hurry up spring!

Don’t think there’s anything worse than trying to do a quick “grab n go” groceries run and you pop the air brakes just as two loaded school buses show up.
