Illinois trooper killed.

Whooa, ho, that attitude could get you in a lot of hot water, ( whispering),,I think the same thing too, but I'd never say that today, ESPECIALLY to a female trooper.

 

Denver police had a female officer, blonde, about 6', former Marine, former Karate instructor, did wonders for the police uniform and any other clothes she wore. She also didn't take BS from anyone. Friend and I were working security at a concert, we were removing this drunk guy, big guy, tough talker. Her and another officer came up to put him in cuffs, he mouthed off to her, 5 seconds later, he was face down on the ground, her knee in the middle of his spine casually, and with a smile, putting him in handcuffs, she never broke a sweat. On one hand, I wanted her to treat me that way, on the other hand, I was scared to death. She retired from DPD as a Lt. a few years back.

 

Another Illinois trooper killed last night. This time a wrong way driver. Illinois state trooper dies after being hit by wrong-way driver near Libertyville

 

RIP.

 

Who would have thought being a state trooper would be such a dangerous job? 163 troopers were killed in the line of duty in 2018. Oddly enough, the leading cause ( 52 deaths) were caused by gunfire, stuck by a vehicle was way down on the list, like 6. And it would seem Illinois is the leader here, 4 last year, but pales in comparison to NY, the leader, at 23 deaths from all causes.

There are some shoes we can't walk a mile in, so let's hope nobody follows in those footsteps.

Wonder what the penalty is for shooting a police drone out of the sky? This aerial enforcement is like fishing in a barrel.
