Well last night at a truck stop, while i was sleeping someone run into the side of my truck. They cracked a small side panel above the fuel line. I was sleep and the hit didnt wake me up at all. I only noticed it during pretrip. I am not sure if i am suppose to report this to company and if they going to blame me if i do. The damage is not that noticeable though.

That's some serious sleep there. I wake up when a gust of wind rocks it oh so gingerly. Hope they buy it, driver.

I sleep like a rock but report it first think last thing that you want is a issue down the road just tell them the truth and be honest if you keep hiding things like this before long your truck is beat all to hell
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Report it. Document the damage. See if there any security cameras around, including in trucks near you. Your truck computer should show you in a parked position, and may have picked up the bump.
You should pay attention to who is next to you. Get a dash cam. Cheap insurance.
I average getting hit while parked every 18 months, and I've been at this 25 years.

It doesn't take a very hard hit to break a body panel. The driver may not have known it, and you obviously didn't feel it.
Take pics and report it ASAP. Not much else you can do.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
You probably run reefer too. You get used to it and become a heavier sleeper. Anywho report it ASAP or else when you turn in the truck they’ll accuse you of damaging it.

If Swift ran into you.
You are now a certified “Supertrucker”.
Congratulations!
