It's just some bullsit regulation that does absolutely no good whatsoever.

 

You're also supposed to lube the washer on the nut....and you know the three dollar help at the TA always do that....you know liability and all that...

 

I should.... something happens to me my wife will be lost!! @Logan76 knows where my storage trailer is, there are no name plates so.... that windmill in there is a Heller Aller, just so somebody knows

Yes not suppose to lubricate the threads.... they say it will cause them to loosen up. I don’t usually have a problem getting mine off .

 

I could own a small museum if it was all together..... I just have such a great appreciation for what our forefathers designed. They were very intelligent and really not appreciated.

 

I'll bet you could take it into work, and for a nominal fee have them hot tank it.

I dab a drop of oil in the nuts when I spin them back on. Never found one loose yet !
