Doubt it blew your antenna...If your antenna can be blown by using a 50w radio, you needed a new antenna anyway!

I would check your connectors on your coax...maybe try a different coax and antenna and see if you can hear anything then...

 

If you throw it in the garbage ask me for the address of my trash can. I mean PO Box.

I would also re-check all of the setting on the radio.

 

if its doing 70, the meter on that guys bench is loose. 45-50 is what you would expect. BUT either way you can run that into a box ( not a texas star) that has 2 2879 transistors and you will do just fine.

 

You kidding? My 440HP dead keys at 5 swings to over 100 on low power . dead key high is over 80 Watts... Best you get your radio fixed
