What if it Snows?

sales tax: CA = 10% or so
CA carbon tax: Added about a year ago is running about 70 to 80 cents a gallon at the pump.

 

Bad part about that it is the air looks a heck of a lot better this year than I remember it in the late '70s early '80s.

Now if they would stop and reverse the population growth down there it may become a viable population center.

 

Those extra taxes that Cali charges are offset by the over 20 cents per mile tax that Oregon charges.

Best to be done from an operational standpoint for me is: Top up the tanks in Oregon so that I don't pay the non-IFTA Cali taxes and minimize the miles in Oregon.

 

Yeah I remember the smog from then, along with the days of "Stage 3 Smog Alerts". When one would look out the house window and see a brown fog, almost like what China sees alot these days.

When I left Commiefornia in 86 I remember the bumper stickers. "Welcome to California, Now PLEASE go home!".

 

How much is the cmv permit? I know all SNI trucks are permitted for Cali every year, but only trucks that go to OR get registered for OR because it is so dang expensive.

From what little I know about fuel and road use taxes, it appears that it all works out the same in the end, its just how the tax is collected - vehicle registration, fuel tax, toll, corn dog tax, etc .

If they’d just put a carbon tax on Pelosi. That would pay all their debt off.
