    I would like know what is the mileage per galon for a volvo 2010 with cummins 450 with 13 speed. This truck loaded is doing 5 to 5.5, I think is poor mileage. Thanks for any opinion.

    How fast are you cruising, what part of the country? How much idling? I had a 670 that I could only squeeze about 6 or 6.2 out of. Cascadia's are good for 1 mpg more.

    Does your truck still has dpf and maybe def system??? Beginning of April most truck stops switch over to summer blend diesel, you might be getting better fuel mileage soooon.

    What rears and cruising rpm are you at? If your doing 70-75 you aren't gonna break out of the 5's

    Thanks your opinions, the truck is running northeast to TX and midwest, I would like know an average in round trip , not at specific area, because the truck mountain and plain areas. Thanks again.

    If 3.25-3.58 rears...
    Speed low 60s and driven for MPG , low to mid 7s , with an APU no idling.

    Driven like a hammer head and idled regularly... 5-5.5 is about tops... Maybe less



    OP .... What rears ??

    What cruise speed ??

    2009 ISX. Emissions delete. set at 550 horsepower..Borg Warner Turbo. full tilt manifold.386 Peterbilt ,13 speed 3:55 gears. Lowepro 22-5 rubber. I run from Virginia to Phoenix twice a month. 20 to 25 thousand in the Box. Cruise speed 65.. RPMs 1430. Idle less than 15%. Anywhere from 7.5 to 8.2

    Did you raise up to 550?my truck has 450 and reggens system. Thinking in emission delete and raise up to 500 hp. I had 1 driver and he did 4.7 mpg, the current driver improve to 5.5 pmg.

    Yeah I had it reprogrammed to 550. All the emissions garbage is gone it's not even on the motor anymore. I think of a lot of the reason I get that mileage is I run it real easy. If I ran 70 75 I doubt I would get 6 miles to the gallon. And I forgot I pull a dry box with no skirts

    Sounds like a big part is the drivers.
