Where is everyone #5

Talked a bunch with my wife last night, went over every positive and negative of both decisions and submitted my acceptance this morning. Like @beastr123 said, there isn't a better opportunity than what I've been given. 20% more time at home for the same money, with the opportunity to work more and make more (and reach my financial goal for the year in the next year).

The only negatives for the new position we could come up with is the extended time away during NH3 and winter road seasons (3-4 weeks for the former and 2 weeks at a time for the latter). Everything else is either an upgrade, or a substantial upgrade.

The ONLY negative I personally have for the new position is autoshift-only. It's going to be a challenge switching (I spent a week last year with one and hated it) but this is about the future, and being a "cool" truck driver moving gears with a gorilla hanger sitting on the floor isn't what I'm in this to do.

Maybe down the road I'll buy myself the old Pete I've always wanted and make it a toy truck for shows (or the B- and R-model Mack's in starting to appreciate as of late) or something, but when it comes to the future of my family, I have to do what's best for everyone, not just me.

I probably won't be posting many pictures in the first few months if the social media policy is different from what I'm used to, but I'll see what I can do.

 

The difference is that the robot won't act like she's being nice. She'll be right upfront about her intentions. ? Sound right to y'all ?

Unless the robot can pass the Turing Test and potentially hide it's motivation?.... but there's a lot going on there... I dunno. I've got a hand that's never betrayed me. Call me old fashioned. Lol.

Had a load to NM cancel on me this morning. Figured it would be a good time to get my first quarter IFTA filing out of the way.
