They are trying to run them as seperate companies, for profit and loss reasons, that is why the names are still diferent.

Also at Walcott, there are two pilots kiddie corner of eachother. Pilot seems to be buying up every truck stop that doesn't put up a fight these days.

Some places NEED two Pilots, so there is a CHANCE you can get in and not be three trucks deep waiting for a fuel island! Lots of them are former "something else", especially Williams as skibum mentoned. There are also several truck stop chains who have Pilot as their fuel supplier, but are still owned by the original chain. Bosselman's in Nebraska, Iowa, and Kansas, as well as Road Rangers come to mind.

I'm kind of surprised that WalMart hasn't jumped into the truckstop biz.
No i'm not talking about being able to park at thier stores.
But building actual trk stops with fuel islands, showers, Transflow/ trip pak. God knows they got the money to buy the land and build these box stores where ever, so, why not truck stops.

Naw, STARBUCKS (fourbucks) so we can sip latte and nibble bagels with the yuppies and ogle their wives! The free wifi would be a bonus!
