This is a bad idea. Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you should, and these things going out is going to jeopardize a lot of people's safety, even if it's just trying to get the truck off the road. Mirrored glass never has broken down that I remember.

Not bad for night and rain, but what about real world snow/ice and road grime. It can defrost, cool, but defrost doesnt actually clean the lens from salt/mudAnother Canadian driver, Rideandrepair, Woodchuck88 and 1 other person Thank this.

I really like the fact that you won’t get blinded constantly by high beams in your mirrors.

that's correct.you would still have to stand on the top step or door sill to clean the lens, just like you do now for a real mirror(s)Another Canadian driver and Rideandrepair Thank this.

What happens when it gets knocked off in a parking lot !!!
Same darn thing that happens when your current mirror gets broken off, you replace it.
Come on you ancient types, it’s not rocket science.
Just carry a spare if you’re that worried about it.
How many of you carry a spare mirror now? None.
Other than the old west coast mirrors, you could get them things anywhere.Another Canadian driver, dunchues and Studebaker Hawk Thank this. -
Judging by how high up it sits on the truck, another truck isn't going to be knocking it off with its mirrors. They'd basically be scrapping against your entire truck to hit them.... Unless the other person has the same mirrors I guess. I suppose it'll happen eventually, but something to note, they do fold in.
Another Canadian driver and uncleal13 Thank this.
