Hey what Im really saying is, dont be like me. Spent the better parts of my life making others rich. Now half worn out still humping to live. I made good money, but not enough for what its costing me now. Chase the money, but dont kill yourself on there dime. If your gonna work that hard it should be for yourself. Dont end up half used up over a 401k when you decide to do it for yourself.

This is why Trailer Smailer, I don't care, pay me. This way I can leave my wife and kid something more than a burden.

Yep. I shouldn't have to explain why I'm leaving. He knows. I told him why I was upset on Friday and Monday already. I'm sick and tired of them hearing me talk but not LISTENING to what I'm saying. AND NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

Everything I was telling him on the phone was going in one ear and out the other. All he had to say in return was his typical canned responses. He worked sales for 25-something years before getting into trucking, and only spent 14 months behind the wheel before getting pulled into the office. Always talks about how he misses being out on the road. Well, why don't you just go back out? Oh right, you've got to stop every few hours for a break and a meal and see trucking more as a pleasure cruise than a business.

I'm done completely now. I'm in Williston at the Love's, in going to go but a couple king cans of beer, listen to the Jets game and forget about everything besides the absolutely perfect drive today.

Got up this morning with a feeling of new beginnings, and dam does it feel good. Going to get up tomorrow feeling even better that I got off the train before it derailed.

 

Got my B plated today, 8 months to the day after rescuing it from a slow death in northern VT. It had been parked in this spot for 11 years where I took these pictures last summer. I never heard it run, had to give the guy a down payment before he would move all the #### blocking it in and cut the trees back. We drug it on my father's RGN and brought it home. Been a slow process and it remains to be seen whether it will be a solid enough ride to make my living with. Waiting on some lettering a set of ifta stickers but I just couldn't resist taking it on a little jaunt this morning.
