    Greetings to all, from sunny Joplin MO. Just checking things out. Thinking of going a different route, and seeing what the flatbed side of the industry. Maybe Lease a truck, see how that goes before jumping in full force and buying one. Credit right now wouldn't allow me to buy one now anyhow. Currently employed Con-way Truckload, Started as a driver, have worked in just about every position there is in the operations dept. I think that has always been helpful, at least I have a true insight what it takes to run a profitable trucking company. Looking a maybe Melton, used to be sister companys with CFI. Start as a company driver, then check out the lease program, or maybe even Prime.

    mustang970, welcome, I am also new to this forum. Just started posting about a week ago. I have found this bunch to be a really great bunch of people here, they have given me a lot of great advice and help.
    How long have you been with CFI/Conway? my father drove for CFI and Melton some time back, he pulled an A-frame.

    I've been with CFI for the better part of 16 years. Man, must have been more than sometime back if he pulled a A Frame. Not sure when Melton quit pulling glass, but must have been more than 10 years ago. Your dad was probably with CFI back in the GlassTrans days.

    mustang970, yes he was there back when Brown was president of the company. I could not remember the name GlassTrans, yes he was with that bunch.
