I'm assuming there was no permit authorizing use of the highway for the protest and she used her leased Landstar equipment in the protest?

If so, her freedom of speech wasn't abridged; the chosen place for the exercise was, as you remarked, "BS" and dangerous. It's highly unlikely many, if any, jurisdictions would permit a protest, however peaceful, on a highway, nor highway access.

I also agree, though, that after 30 years of service under the Landstar name, Landstar risked nothing in keeping "Lori" onboard with a warning of how NOT to market the Landstar name. ;)

No just one of those things it kinda happened... The point being is that the guy who posted this was complaining about agents calling him. I don't think I would get on their bad side because as you see they got rid of someone who had been there 30 years.

I would've been a little more compassionate, but that is just me.

landstar has a ZERO tolerance for the sitting duck policy.... she knew that

she had to flaunt it by posting the video on facebook pages that she knew landstar checks

IF she didn't post the video
IF she didn't have a landstar trailer
IF she had covered the landstar logo on the truck
maybe I could feel sorry for her.....

If she was there for 30 years, then she knows better.

Stay booked up for a couple of weeks in advance and you'll never get a call. Most of the calls LS agents make are for loads they need to cover because they didn't get picked from the load board. Those tend to be today loads or tomorrow loads.

When I do get a call and don't take the first offer they always follow up with "where do you want to go?". I always respond that I'm mostly interested in rates, and the call ends pretty quick after that.

Someone sent me a text once and I took the load because it was a good one. I don't think I've ever taken a load from a phone call though.

I haven’t taken a load from the load board this year, all started with a call from a agent I didn’t know.
Every ones situation is different, you do what works for you.

Am i the only one who lol'd at this dude snitching? And then brags about it.

As hard as it may be I'm gonna zip it and keep the rest of my thoughts. Speaks volumes about your character, not even about drugs

To each their own. I like the calls as I get some really nice loads. Also when they call I negotiate on the rates. I have some good agents that know what I like to pull and where I like to go.

This reminds me of people that won’t post their truck cause they don’t want brokers calling them. Makes no sense to me.
