Our 2016-2017 tractors have the Deflektor soft wheel covers installed. These things are garbage. There is a wire ring that holds them in place. This ring wears thru the fabric and then wears into the rim. The inside fabric also lays on the rim and trashes it. The shop took them off last service and trashed them. Now I’m left with an eyesore. I’m going to have the rims polished, but those wear rings are going to stand out.

Here’s a better pic with the dirt removed. May have to swap the rims and use inside ones.

All the money you think you saved in fuel with those hideous wheel covers just cost you 100 times as much as your rims are ruined. But hey they might of saved $5 in fuel all year! Dam tuperwear trucks.

I don't. Those wheels should have been left as they are.

Those wheels will sand and polish out just fine. You won’t even be able to tell the dumb covers were ever on there.

JoeyJunk, x1Heavy, wore out and 3 others Thank this.

Not these. The ones that don’t damage your wheels. FlowBelow has some nice aerodynamic stuff, but they are very, very expensive. I can’t wait for 3D printers to get dirt cheap, so I can make my own wheel covers and whatnot!

What do to mean waiting 3D printers become cheap, they are now, I have one bought for $110, out of the box it does better work than my three year old $1100 one.

    PE_T Thanks this.

Same here. If I had those dumb covers I couldn’t take these pictures of my dog.

No trucker worth his salt would allow worthless crap like those on his truck.
They along with trailer skirts prove you can sell ice to an Eskimo!

kylefitzy, swaan and Long FLD Thank this.
