Calling me an idiot is a direct violation of site rules.
And you forget that where I live there is very very low population. Most of the time going to a call I would never see another vehicle. Where you live there is probably more population in one sq mile than there is here in 10 or 15 sq miles.
And for the record, just because my truck would go that fast doesn't mean I got any where close to that. Not on any regular basis.Last edited by a moderator: Apr 2, 2009

If you sit down and figure it out. You actually don't save that much time on your response by sppeding and not to mention what would happen if you had a mechanical failure on your own vehicle.
Stranger things have happened. Just this week a Houston FD pumper T-boned a ladder going to the same call. All 9 crewmembers of the pumper were sent to the hospital. Not to mention the lady from the car that the ladder rolled over on and a lady on a bicycle is still critical.
You never know who is around or what is going to happen. -
Brickman, where in Wy. are you from? I grew up in Thermopolis.

South eastern corner. Between Cheyenne and Pine Bluffs.
The department I was on covered 250 sq miles. Not more than 10 miles wide at its widest point but really long.
When I started driving OTR they asked me to step down.
