United Road, any current information on them?

The guy who parks next to me works for them at a different location. He seems to like it there. He's worked just about everywhere else so I'm sure he'd bash them if he didn't .

 

I have delivered cars on a stepdeck to dealerships before and all the united road guys i have talked to and asked questions have been good to me and respectfull and hard workers..

 

I have taken brokered loads for UR and they are a good company, no problems.

 

If you want to work for the industry's leader in pushing down rates and low pay have at it. I have never met a driver who liked it there. They have convinced anyone who is happy there or trained them to think 65k is a lot of money for a car hauler to make. If they are hiring inexperienced drivers when bussiness is slow people arent staying long.

 

This was a few years ago and many times I asked for more money to move units and they agreed to pay more. It never hurts to ask for more because most of the time they will pay more. that was my experience

 

I currently work there they’re decent So Cal they got a lot of freight got to Wa, Or, Ut, Co, some special moves here and there make sure to save for the dead seasons and plan your vacations according

Someone a few post above said 65k a year. That sounds low for a car hauler. I made 68k my first year doing P&D.

 

Yeah I made 60 my second year but I was home almost every weekend if you get a sleeper and really grind I’ve seen driver make 70K and up

 

I looked into it, but the money is not appealing.
Talked to some H&A drivers, about the same story there. Working hard and making less than a P&D driver and I work on average 50 hours a week, home every day and off on weekends.
Looks like a good place to start, get some experience and move on or buy your own truck.
