    @Bdkorth

    That I am not sure about. I know we have a team or two, but I dont know how they work that out. You might want to call and ask Brian, the recruiter.

    Wish I had a better answer for you!

    I'm doing a reset in Grand Forks. I have a load being delivered to IA on Monday, short run, but it got me close to a pickup to get home. So I'll deliver first thing Monday morning then head to NE and load, and jam it out to AZ by Wednesday.

    They knew there was little flex on my home time date this time, and they really pulled through and worked for a few days to get me taken care of.

    I m surprised they did not send you to St Michael to do a CA run, and just find you something from L.A to Phoenix to get you home. That would have gave you some decent miles before hometime

    I kicked off the last stop of my 2200 mile run this morning. I deadheaded from Stanley, ND back to the yard. As soon as I got in the yard, my phone rings " Hey are you in the yard?" Yes, just got here. " Oh you re moving in to truck so and so", So I walk over to the shop, the truck is not ready, and nowhere on the yard. So I walked in and looked at the guy who called me and told him the truck isn t ready. So he called the shop as if I was lying.

    So all I m hearing "Umm, it should be ready tomorrow", and I told them I ve been hearing that for 2 weeks now. "Umm, we ll pay you breakdown pay" I was like, I ll just take another load until the truck is 100% ready.

    So I got a load to Iowa and back, hopefully the 3rd time is a charm.

    I m trying to have another 4,000 mile week, but with this " little boy who cried wolf" truck situation is getting pretty old.

    If anyone is considering coming over to S&S, you may want to hold off until the trucks situation get back to normal. We have several being traded in, and a few new ones that s trying to get road ready, but waiting on certain parts to get them road ready. I would hate for you to get to Grand Forks and have to wait on a truck

    That crappy week decimated my recap hours. I had almost no options to get more miles in. This worked out pretty well though.

    Sorry to hear about the truck situation. That's pretty frustrating! Hang in there. Once you move in itll all be worth the wait!

    Its basically a lack of communication of said person and the shop, apparently a few other drivers are experiencing the same thing

    @LDYTRUCKER I have a question for you. When you started with S&S did you have to ride with a trainer? If so how long? My husband and I have 3 months in, 2 months just us as a team. Don't want to do more training if we come there. We are from AZ too. Haha

    @Footitt

    I did ride with a trainer, for 3 days. They just wanted to make sure I could drive, back, and stay safe. Since you already have experience, the both of you, I'd imagine it might be the same situation. Observe you during your road test (they do that the first or second day of orientation), and see where to go from there.

    If you have experience, I'm gonna pretty much guarantee you wont have to go out any extended time, barring any issues with driving and backing skills.

    Today went very smooth, I spent the night across the street from my pickup in Casselton. Very nice people. The shipping guy opened his office and then walked to my truck before I could get out. He told me to back into door 1, and come in with license and sign the paperwork. 25 minutes later, 43,000 lbs and 39 pallets, I was headed to Altoona, IA.

    I stopped in Williams, IA, fueled, showered, and took a 30 minute break. I stopped at the Flying J in Altoona for a few, then went over to consignee to spend the night. I got here and checked in, waited about 10 minutes, got a door, and unloaded in 15 mins. Now waiting until the am for my next load.

    Since I m in Iowa, more than likely I will pick up something very close by and either head back to MN, ND or MB
