Whole company is like this. Some barns doing rebid because so many runs getting canceled. It's crazy

 

Word on another form says that Old Dominion laid off 15 guys in Greensboro. Also layoffs at Xpo in various places.

 

Not sure. I think we could be entering into an economic slowdown. Things have been booming for almost 10 years now, there’s always a correction after years of prosperous times.

 

While Old Dominion is letting people go. Saia and southeastern are aggressively hiring for linehaul and city P&D.

 

OD told me in interview tbat they price a little higher because they handle shipments more carefully. Maybe a combo of slow freight and pricing lag. Is Estes premium priced?

 

Funny thing is Estes is still hiring. I talked to a guy just hired on last night was riding with someone. It's slow guys sitting home and in hotels but they still hire. Makes sense.
