That sucks. I almost had the same problem but they found out they have a location about an hour away and asked me if it was ok. I told em yeah, i used to make the drive 5 days a week, once a month wont bother me. LOL Good luck to you in your search though. Hope you find a good company to sign with.

 

They told me I had to relocate to Maryland since it was the nearest one to NJ. I really wanted to begin my trucking career with Re West.

 

I feel ya. I was slightly worried when they told me they had to talk to some people to make sure that I could be hired and get close enough to home. Didn't want to restart career with a mega carrier again. Again, hope you find a good company to go to.

Ok guys so how close do you actually have to live to a terminal? Do you still have to leave trucks at the terminal on home time?

 

Yes you have to t leave the trucks at the terminal, however there are exceptions to that. Maybe @A.cam may know more about how that works since his truck doesn’t go to the terminal. As far as how close do you have to live to the terminal, I’m not sure how to answer that as we have several drop lots and Penske shops that drivers in other areas park at. Where are you located?
