Unfreakinbelievable. A lease company with nice trucks and plenty of miles.... especially in THIS economy! I'm willing to bet that Satan himself is trying to find a parka and gloves right now.

I'm sure I wont qualify, since I only drove flatbed for 10 months and havent done that since May of last year, but it would be totally worth it to gut it out with some other company for a year to get into a nice JCT solo situation. Wow. Just wow.

    LMB,

thank you for being honest in this thread about many of the questions. Would you happen to know if the cascadias are having shorts? Also does JCT have new T660's, 389's and 9900's? I see a lot of your trucks by 95 where I live and would not mind meeting one of you.

Does anyone know if jct has loads into and out of Florida for solos? Been talking to several companies and most will not hire here in Deltona. With 17 years of clean trucking I never thought I would have this much trouble finding a good carrier.

I know JCT does a lot of cali-fl runs: mainly to lake wales, umitilla, brooksville dc for walmart and other places. So yes, but call recruiting first to verify.

Just a little side note for all the lease nay sayers. You actually get your truck for free, sort of. We are under a operating lease, which means, Diamond leasing gets the depreciation, and we get to write off the weekly payments. Nice huh. So thats about a $25,000.00 write off a year

That answered one of my questions without even having to ask!

How do they handle payroll taxes? Do they take them out, or do you have to do your quarterly taxes?

I was eating breakfast this morning when this old dinosaur came rolling in. I'm guessing it's paid for by now. :biggrin_25525:
