Boards have changed year to year but right now you can pick what you want. High Performance Cameros can't go on rail cars so 48 states with those. The rest of the traffic, Cameros, Cadillacs and SUVs , go within a 600 to 800 mile radius of Lansing, rarely E. Coast. Return loads out of Louisville, Georgetown, Bowling Green.

That sounds pretty good. I’m considering moving out of the UP in May and have thought about moving to Ft. Wayne and working for Cooper. Any advice??

I guess you have all the Southern Ca loads for yourself. Sounds like you guys are running like Allied Bowling Green did.

Banker, I haven't seen a California load yet, well I have just not without someone else's name next to it. I did have a 9 way Texas and a 9 way dogleg load from Maine to the tip of Long Island.

I'd put an app in ASAP, if they hire 10 you'd want to be 1st in line. They're replacing drivers who quit when we had a long layoff last year. Dean is TM, Margo Asst TM in Lansing. 517 322 3212 You should consider getting hired at any terminal and then transfer to the terminal you do want when that terminal starts hiring.

I worked out of Ft Wayne for a couple weeks. They have first in first out dispatch and their traffic is similar to Lansing.

Does anyone have any idea if Jack Cooper is anywhere close to hiring in the Atlanta area?

They are hiring nearly everywhere, but I never see Hapeville on the website. Probably because it is such a small terminal. It wouldn’t hurt to call the terminal manager or someone in the union if you have a contact. I backhauled from there fairly regular when it was Allied. It was mainly short haul traffic.

Last year I thought about moving to the Atlanta area and called cooper to inquire about work. I talked to the TM and told him I had hauled cars for Cassens for 12 months. He told me I had just enough experience to be dangerous and was not interested in hiring me. The terminal is in lawrenceville and it’s a rail head. Only short local work available

Well I guess there goes that idea. I’d try Cassens but I live too far away, Smyrna TN is the closest terminal to me.
