I'm currently working my way through the legal process of being charged with Money Laundering and 2 counts of Identity Theft - using dead identities to setup bank accounts for people to launder money through. It looks like the money laundering charge will be dropped and I might possibly be eligible for judicial diversion which means that I have a conditional plea in which I'm found not guilty, and no sentence is imposed. Complete probation, pay monthly fees, and at the end there's a chance that I can have the charge expunged. Additionally, I had a DUI in 1991 and a misdemeanor shoplifting 1992, and currently have 1 speeding ticket (10 miles over) in December of 2017. No accidents, or anything else like that.

So.....where do I begin? I don't currently have my CDL, because I don't want to waste the money on school if EVERYONE will tell me to forget it. Will someone hire me? Should I go ahead and go to school and have my CDL by the time the court stuff is finished or just wait until all the court work is finished and then start?

Wait for your pending charges to be taken care of. Just about every application I've ever done asks if you have any pending charges and that is pretty much a no hire there.

Makes sense. I'm assuming that in the best case scenario, of me getting judicial diversion, 'something' will show up on my background report. Will it still be possible to drive or will it be too fresh?

There are companies that'll hire you, as long as you don't have hits to your driving record. You might not get in with a great company, but... yeah.

When I set up my LLC, I had to pass an extensive back ground by the bank in order to do direct deposits for my drivers.

    Now I know why.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm assuming this is for after I finish with court, and go through school? Browsing their website now. Even better that they have an orientation in Nashville, fairly close to me.

For sure. While you have charges pending even they won't hire you. They dont know if you're going to prison or what.

May as well get your cdl from a cdl school, then you'll be ready when the dust settles. While your at it, get all the endorsements you can.
As @D.Tibbitt posted, one possibility is Western Express and there are others.
