    Last year every company was desperate for drivers. I had job lined up before I even got my license. I don’t have “160 hour certificate” either.

    I passed it on my first try but the instructor said he almost failed me because I said something like ,” Press down brake until it the buzzer/light goes off” instead of “Fan down brakes until buzzer/light goes off”.

    That’s exactly an example of what I’m worried about. You clearly knew what you were talking about but a little thing like that could fail a driver. But at least you passed.

    By the way, would you happen to remember the companies you mentioned that may be willing to take on a new driver before I get my license? I’ve heard of European or Polish companies but didn’t get a name. I speak Polish if that helps.

    I completely forgot that I wrote a big write-up about testing at Elk Grove CDL facility specifically. I never went to a trucking school in most things I have learned by myself or with help from my driver.

    Here's one that will help you get your license: they're multi-lingual; maybe Russians and Polish.

    Thanks again for the link. Looks like there website says they require a license and trucking school diploma. That could be wrong so I’ll still look into them.

    Maybe they no longer train drivers with only a permit, but worth the phone call to find out.
