I worked for a company that did the same. I was lucky and at the terminal. Some guys had to hitch hike home and left the trucks all over the USA and parked everywhere.
Arrow did that also one time.

I think you misunderstood me. I never worked for Falcon. I work with Falcons, I specialize in Falconry. I have a Falcon named Rusty Perch who can edit my elogs, he can drop piss bottles on people.

I attach a camera to him and he flies in the truckstops hunting me a space. Me and Rusty have an understanding, don't find a space near anything older than 2016.

I'd turn that truck towards my house and run it til the fuel idiot light came on.
If I were close.. I'd put some in out of my pocket to get there.. if not, I'd park it and rent a car.

 

If I remember right when Arrow shut down if you could get the truck to a Freightliner dealer they would buy you a bus ticket home

Of the automotive suppliers in Flint, only one owns anything. All the others have leased tractors and trailers.
Oh they may own the building, the land for the yard and a maintenance truck or teo, but none of the class 8 equipment.
