You got that right. Seems like all the parts houses are hiring people dumber and dumber.

 

Got one of them here too. I’ve known the family that owns it since I was a kid going in there with dad. You can’t find better people. I can call em at night or on Sunday and he will come unlock the door. Prices are a little higher than big chain stores, but you better believe it’s worth it. He has all the big books but many times he knows exactly what ya need when you describe it.

 

Ya see the trick is just knowing what ya need when ya call. I remember one fella on this here forum with a beard and a big cam cracked a fuel line one time.

“Advance Auto, can I help you?”

“Yessir, I need a couple of feet of 3/8 brake line and a tubing bender delivered to mile marker 115 please....”

$12 and thirty minutes later @OLDSKOOLERnWV was back to truckin.
