DETROIT INFRAME COST??

Detroit diesel. Google it. Mine came in my glider from new , the factory put my reman engine in. Phone around and get some quotes!

 

For $17,000 that's the best way to go. How many miles do you have on your engine now?

 

Not sure where you got $17,000 from. I'm betting a reman is a lot more then that.

My engine has about 200,000miles on it now and no issues at all.

 

A few years back i got a quote for 16 and change for a short block. Based on that is guesstimate a fully dressed long block at 28, maybe 30.

 

2k labor around where ?

 

Yeah, really. Should be about 40 hours of labor, at least. That includes tear down and reassembly.

 

Orlando. It might be a little higher now, I haven’t priced one in a while. When I had my head gasket done and the entire front cover pulled and resealed, it was around 3k in labor iirc. That was also in a long hood Western Star, not a short hood Volvo or something.
