I am with Hazmatinc.com. Grossed 83k in 2018. Very happy with the job. I run out out of Mobile. 99% drop n hook. Buffalo will be a bit different, though. Good company, good equipment, good pay.

So what do you mean different here? More pay or more work? Im just trying to make as much as I can. Sorry if that sounds greedy.

I work for them out of Buffalo. The product (tanker) guys that run regional don't have much of a problem doing 70+ a year. Most runs are out and back. .54 to start per mile. $20 to drop/hook at a customer than $15 per hour if there more than an hour. $35 to load/unload for the first 2 hours than $15 an hour. $30 a night to stay in the truck. Good insurance blue cross and blue shield with 4 different plans to choose from. Overall it's a great place to work in Buffalo. Lot of guys have been here a long time. They have guys that are close to retirement age and their growing. Get in while your young. They max out at 7 weeks vacation at 25 years. They do have otr guys that stay out weeks/months at a time but that's what they want. They make $100k easy. They do have a van board (waste) I don't know as much about it as I do tank (product) side. It's good work and you won't physically kill yourself like where your at now. Any other questions I'll do my best to answer.

Thank you, that was extremely helpful. The gentleman I talked to told me they have alot of out and back and two days out and back. My question is will doing that make decent money? Or only 70k. At my job now I'm on pace to hit 80k. If I
Make a move I want a pay jump to.

And getting in while I'm young. I'm only 26. I live literally 5 minutes away.

Can't say you'll make 80k to start but it's doable. My kids are getting older and I don't try to chase the $ as much anymore but guys I've talked to do very close to that with the schedules you've mentioned. Don't know what the insurance is like at bakemark but our best family plan here has only a $500 deductible. Wives are covered as well even if they work. I did ltl for the better part of 20 years. You only get one body and if you tear it up you don't get another.

Everything above is exactly what I heard from a Hazmat Inc driver here in MI. I would’ve pulled the trigger if it wouldn’t have been regional/otr, also the health insurance was quite expensive. I wound up at Clean Harbors pulling a tanker locally. They’re worth a look.

They have plans that range from like $5 a week with a high deductible to $117 with the $500 deductible. Compared to other friends here in Buffalo we have really good plans to choose from. These days it's either you pay up front or as you go.

Your information is awesome. I appreciate it. I've never driven tanker before so. It seems like an awesome opportunity

This is my first tank job. The maintenance/equipment here is second to none. Trucks and tanks get their yearly inspection every 60 days vans 90. They do safety inspections in between on everything. You come in and the tag with the SI is in the window. Only advice I can give is take your time. The training here is great and the guys that do it are very good at it. It helps to as the people that own us also own all the KW dealerships between Buffalo and Boston maybe more for all I know. Best of luck with your decision.
