Well, the good news today, this arrived: (Don't hate me Wore, I considered your recommendation strongly, but I couldn't resist trying one).

Bad news:
I was putting the fourth gallon of coolant in when I detected a small leak. It was fine when I took it out of the truck four and a half years ago, but maybe sitting out in my shed with all the freezing and thawing caused problems. It doesn't appear to be coming from the core, but somewhere at the top of the lower tank. Dried up gasket? Looks like I'll be taking it back out and headed to a radiator shop in the morning to have them assess the damage.
Where is everyone #5

I'll be waiting to hear your input on that turbo @OxbowLast edited: Apr 30, 2019

I had a pretty good chat with Jim Blaylock, and spoke to my neighbor Jpaydirt again, and decided to try it. I am hoping it has the benefits of a VGT without all the moving parts and problems.
Oh, and he also ordered a solenoid set up that an outfit out of Canada came up with which will enhance the Jake performance. It sounds pretty simple...…. I believe you just run another Jake wire to it and when you turn it on it interrupts the pressure from the boost line. Once I get it I'll share the name of the company. I'm not sure if it will work with ECM engines, but I would be surprised in this day and age that someone would put forth much in the way of resources to develop something for mechanicals.....except of course for the soon-to-be famous WHOOPASS system! -
It won't bother the wheat or barley but will take a little longer to emerge out of the ground. When we start early in the spring like this we will put a seed treatment on which helps with diseases and insects.

The heck is that......a waste gate?Tug Toy, 1951 ford, BigCam9670 and 14 others Thank this.

Yes, sort of I guess. The claim is that it will provide excellent low end spool up like a wastegate turbo, but also give you the performance on the top end of a big turbo. I have a wastegated 177148 on our other B model, and it helped the low end tremendously, but despite having ~26 lbs. of boost when the gate opens I always feel like it is lacking a bit compared to the old stock turbos that I had on a long hard pull. We'll be able to run the two together here soon, and we should have a pretty good comparison.
If you google switchblade turbo it will tell you a bit more about it. -
Sorry about that...

I bet so, was you east bound or west bound? I was stepping pretty good

If it works great I may get one lmao. Someone has to be the Guinea pig
